The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Master Gardener program will host a summer webinar series in 2016. Master Gardeners will gain educational hours while learning about tree problems in the second session of the 3-part series. The two-hour webinar is scheduled at the ISU Extension and Outreach Greene County office for Thursday, July 21.
“Getting to the Bottom of Tree Problems,” with Lina Rodriguez-Salamanca, ISU Extension and Outreach plant pathologist and diagnostician with the ISU Plant and Insect Clinic, will help participants become familiar with some of the common symptoms of tree problems and learn what to keep an eye out for.
This webinar series is part of a collaborative project between the Master Gardener program in Iowa and the USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-Ed). The collaboration aims to improve the food environment for Iowans with low income, develop a strategic plan for planting foot bank donations in gardens across Iowa, and increase the amount of food donated to food banks by Iowa Master Gardeners.
To register, contact Laura Ballard at lballard@iastate.edu or call 515-386-2138. The webinars are free of charge and open to anyone who may be interested.
